About Miles of Wood, Inc
Our Story
Founded over 20 years ago, Miles of Wood is a small business run by Miles Black and his team of carpenters. Operating out of a wood shop in North Miami, we mill, fabricate, and finish all our pieces in house with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship. Starting with small renovations to partnering with contractors and design teams on large scale projects, we have continued to expand over the years.
Our Process
We are inspired by the natural beauty of wood. Our process is rooted in traditional woodworking techniques with maximum preservation in mind. We use commercial lumber, exotic veneers, and reclaimed materials. In fact, we are one of the few shops capable of reclaiming and repurposing specialty woods. Whether it's pulling submerged logs from the Bay, salvaging Dade County Pine timbers from old homes, or collecting locally felled hardwoods, we can give these unique materials a new life.
Our Services
In addition to interior and exterior woodwork, we offer bespoke furniture fabrication. We strive to finish our projects in a timely manner and ensure that each project meets our clients' specifications.
